Default Freecycle rejected me?

I got an email from the freecycle in my area that I've been rejected and that this is final, no negotiations. What do they base their criteria on? This is odd, to say the least.

Super weird, I've never heard of that either. Maybe they somehow thought you were a business, or somebody else who used to be on the local group and got kicked off for something?

I'd email them back and ask why, since that sounds super odd to me.

I'd email back and ask for a reason. So bizarre!

How odd!

What's the procedure for joining Freecycle in your area?

This is the same thing that happened to me, and I figured that the people were in charge of it were just weird. I didn't answer their questions in any weird way. I figured it was just a power thing too.

Here's the response I got:

Hello,

Your request to join the Freecycle group was not approved.
The moderator of each Yahoo! group chooses whether to restrict
membership in the group. Moderators who choose to restrict
membership also choose whom to admit.

Please note that this decision is final and that Yahoo! Groups
does not control group membership.
