My 13 yo nephew recommended it and I liked it.
I am mostly over the whole dystopian universe thing - liked Hunger Games mostly for the novelty, Maze Runner was okay, couldn't enjoy Divergent. This book is not set in a dystopian universe but follows similar scenarios. The book was decent but the ending hooked me in. So I recommend it! http://www.amazon.com/Variant-Robiso.../dp/0062026089

I liked it but had the opposite reaction at the ending. I hate those kind of endings. I feel that every book nowadays is all about the series. I don't mind a series but I wish I knew that at the beginning so I can just wait until they all come out.
