Default Private School

I want my dds to go to private school. Not because the public school they attend is 'bad' in the least it's just I want then to have the experience I had in a private school environment. Financial aid is minimal for the lower grades and we are looking at $50,000 a year to send both of them.
DH isn't on board and I'm not sure it is even remotely possible financially. Just bummed out.

Have you looked at parochial schools? Most are not $25,000 a pop, more like $6-12K a student if you are not members of the parish.

Not really...they are all about the same.
It's about 20,000 per dd and that doesn't include fees. I know it's a lot..that's why I'm so bummed out.

No. While our faith is a huge part of our lives we just never thought about parochial school for them. There is only one near us and it's Catholic..we aren't.

Many non-Catholics go to Catholic school for the educational quality and educational experience. Most Catholic schools in my area would close if only Catholic students attended.

I'm sorry. I know that must be so disappointing.

Totally understand. We had a private school that we loved in Texas and we moved to VA where the cost of a comparable school is insane. Big disappointment for us.

I am guessing it is mostly due to the high COL where you are. Our inexpensive parochials are around $5k and the more expensive privates and parochials are around $10. I'm sorry
