Default what to do with shoes that are outgrown?

DS2 has several pairs of shoes that no longer fit him. They are in decent shape and were $$. Where do you donate these to?
TIA

I either clean them up and take to Once Upon A Child to recoup a little money or drop them off at Goodwill.

ebay or swaps to sell like new condition shoes or i keep them to pass down to friends. i donate the rest to a local charity http://www.shoes2share.org/ or drop off at Olly shoes http://www.ollyshoes.com/ShoeDonation.aspx or they go to the goodwill if they show some wear but have life let in them. i havent thrown any shoes out yet since dd has so many in her rotation and outgrows them before they wear out.

You could organize a shoe drive through your DC school. This is a great charitable organization http://www.edgeoutreach.com/shoes/shoes-water

I've offered them up to friends/relatives who have kids smaller than mine. I also buy the high quality shoes, so it would be crazy to throw them out. The oldest trashes his shoes, always has, so nothing remains after he's done. The middle one can have a number of shoes for the season, but will only wear one pair, letting the other pairs remain in almost new condition. His stuff goes to my mom's friend's grandson and to my co-worker's grandson.

My daughter wears all her shoes, but is very careful with them. She is the same way with her clothing. My cousins out in California have a little girl who is 4 months younger than my DD and is mirroring DD's growth. So, as soon as DD is out of one size of shoes, the entire lot gets packed up and mailed out to California where they are waiting for it by then. So, this helps me as before their DD started wearing shoes, I was already building up a nice pile of outgrown shoes that I didn't know what to do with. Unnecessary clutter and all that jazz.
