I have a 3-year old and a baby and I need a double stroller for parks. I intend to walk with the dog and do some stroller aerobics. Maybe take it to zoos and such too. Currently we have Mountain Buggy Urban Single and Baby Jogger City Mini Single. Our car is Chevy Traverse so there should be enough room for the stroller even if I have the dog sitting in the third row on one seat.
I have been loving the Bumbleride Indie Twins forever but I am also contemplating Mountain Buggy Duet and Baby Jogger Summit XC and City Elite. Which one would suit my needs best or is your preference? Is there other brands that I am missing? Where can I get the best price on these strollers? Is strollers from eBay ok or why are they cheaper? Thank you, now that the time is here to buy it I am stumped. Should I get my dream stroller or settle for something else. |

You can look at the BOB revolution SE Duallie too but definitely try your 3 year old in any of them before you buy. My tall 3 yr old didnt really fit in the BOB. I would think out of the two baby joggers the summit is better suited to stroller aerobics.

Yes, check the heights. DD1 fits into the BJCED really well but was on the verge of being too tall for the others I tested. She is definitely too big for the Indie single I have....but I have giant children.

My DC's are the same age. I have a BJ Summit XC for that kind of use. I think a BJ Elite would also suffice if you aren't running with it, but you should compare the features to see if its missing anything you want, like larger tires and hand brake.
I'd also consider a Bob Duallie and MB Duo in that class. The differences between the three are really features and preference. Some here will say the Duallie has the best push, so if that's most important to you try them all loaded with kids - I don't feel like I've sacrificed push with my BJ. The MB Duo is bigger than the Duet, if you have larger kids and don't need it for indoors I'd look at that one. There are some reputable sellers on eBay, some are resellers for the major online retailers so you can get open box items with warranty at a discount. Craig's list is also a good option depending on your area.

I adored our indie twin, style and awesome push. My 4 year old fit well torso wise but his legs were kinda bent, he never complained he loved that stroller. He is off the charts in height too.

Thank you all. My kids are pretty small so the size hopefully isn't a problem. I am unable to try them out at stores since I live in Missouri and I think the only brand I could find in stores would be Baby Jogger. I am contemplating the Mountain Buggies now. I love my single but hate the canopy. I think the newer Mountain Buggies have slightly better canopy. I would love the Indie Twin but if we are not planning on having any more kids then maybe it is little too expensive for max two years of use. I can get a Duo for 450 from Ebay so that would be better.
What I just need to do is order something and be happy with it and stop looking. |

I have very tall but younger children and we went with the Valco Trimode Twin EX and LOVE it. I have the MB Swift and hate the fold and canopy too. The Valco canopy is like a BJ canopy. It completely covers my children. The only con of the Valco is the size of it. We have a small car and it takes some muscle to fit in the trunk. Also, it is heavy but aren't all double strollers?
I bought my Valco at diapers.com when they were on sale. I also saw good deals on ebay.

I can't speak from my own personal experience, but someone on my local CL was selling an Ebay Indie Twin because it came in pink (Vita), which was not the color he ordered (i think he had a boy).

Lol. With a situation like that, he should've been able to return it st the seller's expense or at least got a substantial partial refund-- which is probably what happened. I got my 2011 indie twin from a ebay seller (that a lovely momma on here found for me) for a steal. I haven't had any issues and I absolutely love it. Its a perfect outdoor stroller for my toddler and newborn. I previously had bought a 50s mbud while pregnant but sold it because it was just too huge, although lovely. I don't think the seat size was any bigger than the indie's either. I love the Bob's push but I'm not crazy about their looks and features. And the bj elite & summit seats are way too hammocky for babies Imo.
