Default high-top supportive shoes for DS with low tone

15 month old DS is low tone only in his ankles and feet. He is pulling to stand, but his feet are collapsing inwards. His PT suggested we try a high top shoe, because for kids like this, that can often give just enough support to help them balance better. Our other option is to go with supportive ankle braces, but she said to try the shoe first.

I don't want to spend a lot, because he is not walking yet, and I don't even know if this will work. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

That describes my son at 15m and we went with quite pricey Jumping Jacks shoes ($56 I think) and it totally did the trick. We just got the one pair and he wore them everywhere! It made a huge difference and by the time he out grew them he was walking well and we did one more pair and then switched to "normal" toddler shoes such as stride rites.

They were brown and the style was called Perfection I think.
