Default Nifty new Turbo booster--major side impact protection

http://www.target.com/p/Highback-Boo...Primary%20Link

I can't wait to see one in real life, and wow, those colors! Reportedly it's the same not-too-tall shoulderbelt guide height as the old Turbos, but if it fits little kids perfectly like the old one does, then, wow

Got it! In the purple! DD LOVES it. That is huge because she has been adamantly opposed to the idea of a booster, she loves her car seats (hooray for us).

We needed a booster because her Marathon is expiring and she's outgrowing (finally), and for upcoming travel and this one was a winner. She'll stay in a Frontier in my car for daily use, but DH drives her occassionally and this is a good alternative for his car.

It was fine in my car inboard. On DH's it's terrible. MUCH better outboard. Should I be worried about it outboard with the back on? The middle position in his car has a hump and an extremely narrow footprint so it was wobbly and the female end of the car seat was behind the seat. Opinions?

Huge Thank you to Jools once again. This time for helping my kiddo find a car seat with uber protection, color of choice, and as comfy to her as her Frontier (huge order).

Yeah, don't worry about using it outboard, if that's where it fits best. Hooray for purple!

That looks a lot like the Monterey I just bought!

Awesome, thanks so much! Used it today in DH's car for the first time, outboard. It was definitely a better fit than center.

Loathe his seat belts so much that I'm tempted to get another frontier and keep her harnessed rather than do that very often. They are super deep and stationary so even those awesome looking gator things will be of no use. Going to try it this way for a few weeks. Thank you!

I saw it yesterday at my Target, it was the green one, and it is pretty nice. I was quite impressed with it just by touching and feeling it. We don't need another booster right now (we still have our Frontier for long car trips), but I think this is a nice option for those like me who just really did not want to spend $100+ on another car seat (I know, there isn't a big enough bag to go over my head for that comment, but really that is how I feel).

I just wish it was more Monterey-ish and less Turbo-y. ie, it's not really tall enough to make it worth me spending any amount of money on it, because my 6 yo is freakishly tall and I want her in a highback much longer than the Turbo will allow. :/.

So this isn't a good seat for a tall kid? My 48 inch tall 6 year old seems to be outgrowing her Marathon 70. She occupies almost every inch of that seat. I was thinking of this one as a replacement. Not a good idea?
