Red face Please recommend boy clothes brands with fun, bright colors & graphics

I just found out I'm expecting a boy and am very excited - except for the clothing options out there. I personally dislike the idea of dressing my boy to look like a mini-man or mini-teenager, and am dismayed by how many companies carry only boy's clothes that are navy, dark green, gray or khaki. I'd love for my little boy to wear bright, playful colors as long as possible.

My favorite baby clothes company is Zutano, so I guess I can buy that for awhile (though I can't afford to stock up on solely their clothes), but they don't have much for older toddlers. Are there other companies that you'd recommend my looking at?

Thanks so much!

Boden
H&M
Carters
Hanna Andersson

Honestly, for infant clothes, I wouldn't go super fancy because he will wear them for like 15 minutes of his life! But when you're ready, Hanna and Boden are lots of fun. Carters is awesome for infant stuff and not pricey at all. Check our craigslist or consignment stores because you can buy hardly used infant clothing for not a whole lot. Congrats!

Take a look at Next Direct.

ETA. Also when you get to toddler sizes, check out LandsEnd (especially the sale page and especially when they have a code) for bright colors in solid t-shirts, etc. They have also had some bright tie dyes the last few years. When you hit a sale with code, the prices are excellent IMO.

Totally agree with Lands End in toddler sizes. Recently I have noticed that Carters seems to be using bolder colors in their lines. Congrats on the boy!

If you look hard, there are some gems at Target - like the appliqued baseball glove t-shirt I got for $4.50 or something like that this spring

I like Baby Gap, but you have to filter out the black stuff and the stuff with skulls and crossbones. They do have some cute stuff, and definitely have cute pj's and t-shirts/onesies.

I like many of the brands mentioned above, and also OshKosh (the real one, not their Target line). Whenever I'm near an OshKosh outlet I stock up - wish there was one near us!

You've gotten great recommendations above and those are all mainstays in my son's wardrobe. I just wanted to second Pumpkin Patch and Next Direct for when he ages out of infant sizes. Now that my son is older (he's 4.5) we love Boden as well, but it's more expensive so I try to buy a few key pieces there and mix and match with other brands.

a big to all of crl's post (DS has so many of those tie dyes--the past 2 years they had cute hoodies, but not this year.) and to H&M. Tea Collection stuff is really cute, but a little $ for me.

Oh, and I love Kohl's fleece cargo pants--they've been really great play clothes and they wash amazingly well. I bought him a size 3t at 18 months old, my mom hemmed them and DS is about to turn 4 now and they still look good as new after at least once a week wearing and washing (we've since let the hem out). They're better than pants I've found anywhere, including expensive places. I usually pay $5 or less for them. (they're Jumping Beans brand and put them out in the late summer). Their French terry cargos are also awesome.
