Pool Sandals for little kids?

We bought flip flops for our July 4th trip last night and they gave my son blisters.

I need to buy sandals that are okay to get wet to wear to the pool for a trip NEXT week. where do I go? Academy? He is size 10.5 or 11 in shoe (the small end. He's almost 5)

Kmart and Sport Authority have water shoes for $6 and $7 respectively. Target has Croc knockoffs.

We buy DS water shoes (maybe Speedo brand?) from Target. He wears them in and out of the water at the pool. I think they were around $7 and are in the pool aisle (rather than with the shoes).

Croc knock-offs are fine too. Anything waterproof with a thick sole that covers the foot at least partly, vs a flip-flop style.

we use crocs for pool, splashpark, backyard water play etc....even my newly waking 15mo wears them. they are great. They tend to be $$$ if you buy them in B&M stores (especially the character ones)...but I've always got them from the Crocs website at a steep discount (the first 2 pairs i got were like $7 each!).

We have these (above) and they are all leather. I wouldn't want them for the pool bc IMO leather doesn't do well wet.

We went with these (below) from Amazon. I liked them because unlike sandals, DD can put them on herself.
