I'm beginning to really get terrified as my due date fast approaches of successfully taking care of an infant and my toddler. Any advice on toys to have on hand for DS? I've heard of giving DS a present at the hospital from the baby but clueless about this, what type of toy? I've also heard of special toys just for when nursing for the older child to stay content but again no ideas. I am very willing to use bribery to maintain my sanity when I'm a sleep deprived mess because I don't think I'll have much energy or time for awhile. Please give me your recommendations!

DS was 2 when DD was born. We gave him a basketball hoop from DD. They both still play with it almost every day.

We bought ds1 a Fisher Price (or was it VTech?) camera. Super easy to use. Eta- scratch that. Bought it for ds2's 2nd birthday. Anyway it's age appropriate and you can see baby through his eyes.
![]() Magnatiles are nice and open ended. A small set is fine. Blocks or Geotrax are good too.
