Default Found the BEST under skirts underwear!!

I bought a pair of Nike Pro Compression shorts from a running store yesterday to try on for under skirts. Oh my!!! They are so nice. They are probably the 5", not the 2.5". There is no chafing and no sweat--they are made of Drifit. They don't feel light but I wasn't hot in them, they don't show under my skirts and I was able to sit cross legged on the grass with the kids!!! They have a band at the bottom that keeps them from riding up but they didn't dig into my legs (which is what usually happens). I bought my usual size and they are comfortable snug, not compression tight. I just ordered 3 more from Zappos!! (they are about $25 a piece. I bet you could find them at an outlet for less, I just wanted them NOW)

Are these the ones?

I now wear skirts or dresses most of the Time in summer so I need something like this. Do they suck it all in, though? I need my shaper undies!

Yes, those are the ones--no they don't suck it in like Spanx bult they do provide no pant lines and a smooth bum. I am not rock solid and thus can't wear clingy skirts, but my Patagonia Vitaliti skirt looks awesome with these undies!!

Thank you! I was just about to post about finding something to wear under skirts. I'm wearing a lot more dresses and skirts this summer - partly to look more cute while being comfy and partly because I found Boden....

I'm just not back to my Pre-Preg size and my thighs have never been light. So I worry about chafing when I'm doing a lot of walking. I have been trying to find something like bike shorts but not tight like Spanx, because compression is not comfy for a long casual day out.

I think I'll have to try these.

I found these bike shorts on Walmart's website the other day. They get good reviews and are super cheap at $14 for a pack of two. I figured I'd try these before I shell out the big bucks for the Nike ones. They shipped so I'll update in a couple of days with how they fit.

The nice thing about the NIkes is that they don't roll up at the legs as much as many of the cheaper ones do and yet they dont' dig into your thighs either. I am wearing them under dresses that I wear to work because they are so comfy.
