ducduc campaign cribWeb site: ducducnyc.com

New York-based ducduc was among the first entrants into the modern nursery category with an eco twist: all furniture is made in the U.S. (their plant is in Connecticut), contains no MDF or particleboard and and features water-based finishes that are low-VOC.

Of course, all this eco-fabulousness is going to cost you: a ducduc crib runs $1300 to $2165; matching dressers are $1200 to $2600. No wonder this company’s distribution is limited to pricey boutiques on the coasts (new this year, you can buy ducduc direct from their web site).

Ducduc has numerous customization options, including changing the interior color of their dresser drawers, which is unique.

The Campaign crib (pictured) runs $2165— the x-shaped end supports are available in eight colors (shown with walnut stain). Shipping is another 15% of the total if the order is under $7500.

Quality is good, but reviews of Ducduc’s New York store are mixed on Yelp. Rating: B
