Reader tips: Brides Against Breast Cancer bargains, Target registry and more

Reader Diana L. writes in today with some tips and advice from her wedding:

You are amazing!  Thank you so much for saving me so much money and sanity.  Your books are my gift to all newly engaged and pregnant couples.

A few notes for your next bridal guide:

  • I got my dress from Brides Against Breast Cancer.  Beautiful 2nd hand gowns (not to mention accessories and bridesmaids dresses) and all proceeds go to “make a wish” experiences for breast cancer patients.  Amazing cause, amazing dresses, amazing prices.  To top it off, this Oregon based travelling show is tax free.
  • I love Target, but their registry website is a disaster.  50% of the time the site crashes and I can’t log in, and then the majority of the other 50% it doesn’t show all my items.  I do not recommend it.  I don’t know how the hell my guests are doing with it, but I can’t get in.
  • We registered for our honeymoon at  Though they take a cut, I’d rather go surfing in Baja than get another blender, so it was a great option for us.

Appreciation and thanks for all your help!
