This book was created by the same team that brought you Baby 411—Denise Fields & Dr. Ari Brown. Yes, Denise Fields is the same author who penned the best-sellers Bridal Bargains and Baby Bargains (if you’ve read our wedding books in addition to our baby books, we owe you lunch).
But who is Dr. Ari Brown?
Dr. Ari Brown is an award-winning pediatrician and the coauthor of Baby 411, Expecting 411, and Toddler 411.
Brown graduated magna cum laude from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s degree in child development. Her passion to educate and empower families with accurate health information is evident in her clinical work, public speaking, advocacy, and broadcast and print media experiences.
She is a trusted voice for children’s health, serving as a medical advisor for Parents Magazine and a spokeswoman for the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has appeared in countless national publications including the Wall Street Journal and as an on-camera expert on NBC Today Show, CNN, Dr. Phil. Dr. Oz, and Rachael Ray. She currently hosts the Growing Up Texas health segment for Austin YNN News.

Dr. Brown lives in Austin, TX with her husband, two teenagers, and a small but mighty Jack Russell terrier.
Denise Fields brings her 15 years of experience as a consumer advocate to Toddler 411—as the co-author of Baby Bargains and Toddler Bargains, Fields has been featured on Oprah, The Today Show and Good Morning America as well as in articles in the Wall Street Journal and New York Times. For Toddler 411, Denise adds in her experience as both a mom and author—many of the questions we get on our message boards hit the same hot button issues you’ll see here.
