admin supplied PW not working for me (BillK)

Hi,

This is BillK - I received the email from the admins that contained my "new" pw - however it's not working.

Could one of the mods reset my BillK pw again and resend it to me?

I had the same problem - go to http://windsorpeak.com/vbulletin/login.php?do=lostpw (the lost password link is broken on the failed login screen, because it's pointing to localhost instead of windsorpeak.com) and follow the directions. You'll get an email also with localhost in the link, but just change the whole mess before "/login.php..." to "http://windsorpeak.com/vbulletin/" and you'll be sent a new password. And voila! A new, working password! (At least, it worked for me. YMMV.)

That also worked for me - in addition, I deleted the trailing stuff in the /vbulletin/ part of the web address. It used to be /vbulletin-xxxyyyzzzupload/ or somesuch. Deleting everything after vbulletin seemed to help.

i was sent the new password email, logged in and re-set my password... then sent a second email with a second new password. after that, i couldn't login in with any of my passwords.

Could one of the mods pin this thread, so every one trying to login can see this. I am on one of the offshoot boards. Everyone there is thinking that the new passwords that were sent out will start working eventually. I am not sure if that is true, but this is a good workaround that people probably did not notice.

I was FINALLY able to log on :). It's nice to be back. I was beginning to think I'll have to find a way to live without BBB :(. DS turned 4 and the boards died... H-m-m, I was beginning to think it was a sign for me to get a different 'home' on the web.

Now if the mess with dates could also be taken care of.
