Heloooo! I just wanted to say happy happy hellos! I'm back from Vegas, and it was pretty awesome. We left DS with my P's for the duration, except one night with my friend, and all in all, he had a great time. I was a basket case, but he did GREAT. That's the very short version. Some random things about Vegas I thought I'd share.
* Everything is very expensive. Some folks think Vegas is not that expensive cuz they wanna entice you to gamble. Nope, not anymore.
* The best buffet on the strip hands down is the Planet Hollywood casino, which used to be the Aladdin. The worst is positively the Caesars Palace. Atrocious. Can't say enough bad things about it.
* Spamalot is HYSTERICAL
* The Wynn is maybe the fanciest place I've ever been in my live, and I grew up on the NOrth Shore of Chicago. If you watch Las Vegas the show, it's that.
* There is no Montecito. Don't go looking for it.
* Star Trek: The Experience is so good I wanna cry. yeah, I've been there lots of times before. Still, always the same.
* I called home about six times each day to check on DS to make sure he was ok. He was. He had a blast with my P's and friend, Mel (yes, for those who know, he did, the Britax came with, I haven't addressed it with her yet; waiting ...). When we got home, he was asleep, we kissed him, he rolled over, we sent my P's home, and 40 minutes later he threw up and proceeded to continue to throw up six more times throughout the night and morning. Welcome home! Two middle of the night phone calls to the ped, five loads of laundry, and alot of DVDs later, he's all better :-)
Sheesh, guys, I leave for four days and the board goes all crazytime. Hee! I was bummed when I learned this was to be the weekend, cuz I knew I'd be gone, but kudos to the other mods, Alan & Denise and the techs (this has not been an easy switch), and all of the BBB users for making it thru to such a powerful and awesome new forum!
