For parents who want to train their cats to not get into the baby's crib:

Before the baby is born, line the crib mattress with tin foil. Cats don't like the way it feels when they walk on it.

While cats may enjoy a nap in the baby's crib before the baby is born, it is extremely rare that they want to get into the crib with the baby there. They don't enjoy the screaming and the kicking. So, it's generally a non-issue although it's perceived as one.
