Good educational and learning toys for a 4 yr old?

I had a great thread started with some wonderful replies about a week ago. I was asking for some good ideas for learning/educational toys for a 4 yr old boy. Of course I didn't bookmark it, like a dummy. And now I can't seem to go back to find it. When I try to get to posts from 4 days ago, I get sent back to February 2007!

I think I was particularly interested in comparing the Little Leapster/Vsmile type toys.

Anyone have any recommendations and suggestions for me?

It definitely depends on your version of "educational" - but we got Abby the Quadrilla Twist and Rail for Hanukkah and she LOVES it.
