The older one's stocking begins with mini candy canes and a clementine or two (very popular with DC1). The baby will get a new teether toy or two. They will each get a grins and giggles stick which they like using and are real face/skin savers for cold weather (especially for the teething baby!). There are also cartridges for their Music Blocks to be included.

I'm looking for a few more interesting items for each of them. Any creative suggestions out there? Anything kind of unique to add?

TIA for any suggestions!

Here are some things that DD (2)is getting that might work for you.

Those pills you put in water and turn into animal sponges
washcloths that you put in water to open up
sunscreen
stampers
stickers
mini pots of playdoh
toothpaste
juice box
play money
socks
Tinkerbell notecards
fingerpaints
a travel pack of wipes (okay, for me really!)

That is all I can remember right now, I'll take a look later and see if I've got anything else interesting in the box!

HTH!

I got this set of cars to split between my girls: http://www.atoygarden.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=1399

I got one in green and red of these:http://www.kazootoys.com/toyinwojibam.html

These may or may not go in the stocking: http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=6611426

And I just got my order of wood figures from Anne Moze and I am in love. I am thinking of getting a few more for their stockings:http://hyenacart.com/annemozeallwoodtoys/index.php?viewall=1

We also do huge fruit like apples, oranges and pears and when they are older I will put nuts in there, too. It's something my mom did with us when we were little and I loved it.

My DD will be just over 1 at Christmas, and DS will be almost 4.

Her stocking will have:
fabric icecream cone
baby legs
freeze dried blueberries
hair clips/bows
CA baby wash
board books
Holztiger cat
felted ball
Maybe some silks if I can get DS to help me make them for her (so his gift to her...)
other random stuff I"m forgetting...

Other ideas for that age:
CDs
finger puppets/regular puppets
small purse or wallet
playsilks
wooden instruments
large spinning top (we have a big one from Vilac I gave DS for his first Valentine's day. Waaaay too big to choke on)
sippy cup like Klean Kanteen or similar

DS is getting:
Prism for his room
small Haba tin games
fabric ice cream cones
art supplies
Valrhona chocolate bar
Aura Cacia kids foaming bubble bath powder stuff
toothpaste, toothbrush
more stuff I"m forgetting...

A family tradition is that I often stick one of those $1 balsa wood airplanes in his stocking because my dad often gave them to us.

Thanks to each of you! You helped with a few things I'd forgotten about and gave me some new ideas.

I love these boards. :)

Now, I just have to think of some things for DH's stocking. That may be even tougher. ;)
