Asking for a friend, so these are all the details I have. She and her DH are flying to Argentina (from the US) with their 3 yo DS in the new year. She wanted to know if she should take her DS' car seat.

I suggested finding out if the vehicles in Argentina have seat belts. If so, take the car seat and a locking clip in case they don't have locking retractors.

If the vehicles don't have seat belts, take a CARES harness for use on the plane and hope for the best in the cars in Argentina. I guess it depends on their airline whether the CARES harness will be allowed (for example, the Canadian airlines don't allow it yet). I don't know which airline she's flying.

Anyone know anything about cars and child restraints in Argentina?

TIA
