DD got this yesterday for her 1st bday (I've had it saved for her since I was pg LOL). It was pretty much her only gift from us, and she seems to love it already. I thought it would be something fun for her and DS to play with together, and it is. DS is almost 4 and he's loving it too (I wouldn't buy it specifically for an older kid, but it is nice that he's getting some enjoyment out of it).
I know a few other companies like Selecta make similar toys. We just happened to end up with the Haba one.
Anyway, this toy has gotten fairly positive reviews around here in the past (a few people had kids that weren't crazy about it, however). I wanted to add DD and DS to the list of satisfied customers ;)
We'll see how it holds up in terms of lasting interest, but so far, so good. It is a simple toy, but it really seems to captivate DS and DD.
