I'm betting I'm not the only one looking for lead-free dishes right now...
Pfaltzgraff is one of the brands I found that does not use lead in their glaze.

"Pfaltzgraff, a Lifetime Brands company, stands behind the safety and quality of all of its products. It is our Company Policy to use only lead-free glazes, pigments or decals in our porcelain, stoneware, china and earthenware products. We know of no company with a more stringent policy with respect to the use of lead, cadmium and other contaminants than Pfaltzgraff."
Anyway, I found a great deal on the Pistoulet Pattern in Salmon. Boscov's has them for $59.99 for a 20 pc set (4 place settings). Shipping is steep- $20, but it's for everything you order- so if you order 2 sets, shipping is still $20, which is what I did.
HTH someone
