View Full Version : Do I have to remove the Headrest?

I'm sorry, I can't believe I have all of these questions all of a sudden! In manual reading tonight, I saw in the CRV that the car seat installation instructions say to remove the removable headrest. It's not listed as a warning like other things such as the airbags in the front. It's just step #5 of the installation process to remove the headrest. So, is this necessary for safety? For our MA, the headrest is in its lowest position, nestled on top of the seat back, and the car seat is just smashed up against it, but rock solid. The other seat is our infant carrier with a base - nothing touches the headrest and won't with her RF, either when she goes to a convertible. So do I need to remove the headrest here, too??

I wouldn't worry about it, if the seats fit fine. If you want to try taking it out for the MA then you might find you like the installation better (or you might not...ya never can tell).
