I have been trying to avoid toys made in china. I thought I found a good space rocket for DS, but no such luck ( see my post in bitching) Anyway, now I your thoughts, opinions, suggestions. What would you do? Return it, look for something else, not worry about it? I am very concerned b/c it is HAND painted. For some reason, this strikes me as a problem.

I would like a wooden one, but I had a REALLY hard time finding one. I would really like to avoid china, but if I can't, should I go with a metal/die cast one, or is that paint bad, too?
I would prefer to buy it in a store, I don't want to pay shipping at this point, but I will do what I need to! :)

TIA for any ideas or suggestions...

The Imagiplay Zoom to the Moon playset is a combination of fabric nd wood. It said on another site that it was made in Sri Lanka.

Also, months ago I saw this kit at Target in the toy section. Maybe your DS would like to make and paint his own rocketship. Iyt was abotu $10.
