Hi, first-time poster, expecting my first in May! I'm so glad to have found this site, there's so much to learn. We're currently researching cribs and have found that most crib reviews are for convertible cribs. Anyone have suggestions for just a regular crib that's made of solid hardwood?

Thanks! :)

I have two cribs. One is solid wood and I have no idea if it converts or not -- it is the Sorelle Toscana and it has served me and my kids well in the 5 years I've owned it.

We absolutely adore our Baby's Dream Kathryn crib. It is extremely high quality, incredibly sturdy and the drop-gate is very quiet. It is almost two years old and in like new condition, despite much abuse my our 19mo. I wish we could afford another set for Baby #2. We might see if we can find a set on Craigslist.

Oops... Our crib is a convertible, didn't read that part.
