jc penney cribs

my wife and i read through the bb book. although the book says that the jc penney cribs are of good quality, we were wondering if anyone has first hand experience with them? we would like to know about the quality of the workmanship and if the 2-position mattress is something we can live with or should we only get a 3 position mattress?
