Hi,

We own a weekend home. We are due at the end of October. We spend maybe 1 or 2 weekends (2 nights) a month during the winter at our second home and about 3 weekends a month during the summer.

What would you recommend we use as a crib for our baby--an inexpensive crib (like the Delta) or a pack n play? I'm leaning toward the pack n play since we can then use it when we travel other places (meaning we'll buy one anyway for when we travel so might as well use it more often).

Any advice would be greatly appeciated!!

Given your frequent use of the 2nd home, I'd buy an affordable full-size crib instead of a playpen. Your idea of an affordable Delta (or Child Craft) would do the trick.

Portable playpens are fine for occasional use, but for what you describe, a full size crib probalby would be best (from both a safety and practical point of view).
