We are purchasing two Pali cloud cribs for our twins - due in January. We're deciding between the Colgate Classic 1 mattress recommended in Baby Barg. & one recommended by the store called Baby Time. It also is a foam mattress (5 or 6 inch thickness available) & the store claims it is more firm and will appear with favorable reviews next year. It is $30 more, which we don't mind if the quality is worth it. Any thoughts? Also any feedback on our cribs (in white) would be appreciated! Thank you. (Can you tell these are our first children?)

Kate,

Thanks for using our message boards.

We find it kind of amazing that stores claim to know what we're going to write about before we ever write it. We haven't researched that brand of mattress, but we continue to think the Colgate is one of the best options for a foam mattress on the market.

We think Pali makes great cribs and you'll be happy with what you ordered.

Good luck with the twins and congratulations.

Best wishes,

Thanks so much for your input. We're going to go with the Colgate. With so many decisions to make, your book has been an invaluable resource!! Thank you.

Congratulations on your twins. We purchased two Simmons mattresses at BRU for our twins and have been happy. I just wanted to let you know that many stores offer a twins discount on big ticket items. It is not something they market, but it is worth asking about. BRU offers 10% off each item and USA Baby offers 10% off the second item.

Good luck and God bless.
