Our 9 month old is currently sleeping on the "extra firm" side
of a Colgate 2-in-1 mattress. (One side is extra firm and the
other side is softer).

I was wondering when is the right time to flip the mattress
over to the softer (toddler) side?

There is no advice on the colgatekids website.

Thanks!

Hi,
Sorry for your confusion. There is no exact time when it is best to put your baby on the less firm side of the Colgate 2-N-1 mattress or any of our dual firmness mattresses. We recommend you use the firm side for all infants up to about 10 months. After that, it is a question of preference. Most parents turn the mattress over between 10 and 14 months. Let your child help decide. If they are sleeping soundly through the night on the firmer side then, no need to change. Hope this helps a little and, thanks for your support.
