Metal Cribs

I started a gift registry for my baby shower a while back, and I put a metal crib on it. I have since bought the baby bargains book, and would like to know if anyone out there bought a metal crib instead of a wood one, and what they think. Should I update my registy, I am due in August and had selected the Cosco Convertible Crib found at Walmart for around $80. I am only 19, and I don't have very much money to spend. I need to know where I can pinch pennies. Any info would be helpful.

I have a metal crib and I really like it. I don't know anything about the specific crib you selected, but I like mine from JC Penney.

For me the crib was not a major decision since the baby does not spend much time in there anyway. She sleeps in the bed with us and at almost 4 months she has only been in the crib for short times while I am doing something in her room. She naps in the Pack N Play in the living room.
