My wife and I had the furniture delivered yesterday and there was some defects in the furniture. What do I do?
We bought the Pali Paula and the 7000 series double dresser and noticed a little problem with each. I don't know if it is worth complaining about. The double dresser looks like it has a very small knot on the top surface that is raised a little bit, so the top is not completely flat (It is small, but I noticed it right away). Also the lowest drawer looks like two small gouges in the wood which shows a natural color underneath (small like tines of a fork). The crib looks like it has small dents in the wood at some places and two cracks in the wood on the thick cross bar on one end. They are not cracks that go through, but cracks that are noticed visually.
None of these defects will reduce the strength of the pieces, but when you spend $1300 from a manufacturer, you want the pieces to be perfect (I kind of wish there was major damage, so I could be sure of returning the parts).
We are due in a little over two weeks and do I fight to get perfect pieces or live with some defects in the furniture. Basically, is it worth the fight. Has anyone had similar experiences with furniture with small defects. What did you do?
Thank you,
Steven
