View Full Version : Cribs - how do you know what they're made of?

I've been looking at Sorelle and Legacy cribs lately, because they seem sturdier and more substantial than the Simmons we were originally going to get. The ones I saw IRL seem solid enough, but I got worried when I read in the Sorelle brochure that they're made of "beechwood and beechwood veneer." Anyone know what is veneered on such cribs? Are some models hardwood and some entirely veneered? And does it even matter? In general I avoid veneered furniture but maybe on a crib it's not a big deal.

TIA,

Look for veneering on the drawer and supporting pieces at the bottom of the crib. HTH!
