I don't do any scrapbooking, but I guess I'd try if I had to and couldn't find the most pefect baby book.
So I'm looking for a classy, elegant, and simple baby memory book. No cartoon characters or any kind of character drawings for that matter...just simple and that's it! Ribbons and stripes/dots are fine.
Do any of you know of any online resources where I could find one?

Molly West books are the most popular and really simple. They sell them on www.babycenter.com. Janie and Jack stores had them on super sale. They used to have them on their website, but are now gone. I saw some at my local Janie and Jack store this past weekend though. They were on sale for $29.99. The second cheapest place to buy them is babycenter.com at somewhere around $54.

The only other book that I like was by the rag bone bindery. They sell these at Papyrus stores, but they run around $63. They are simple and are hand bound with ribbon.

Hi!

I, too, didn't want what was out there in baby books, even though I love to scrapbook. I wanted something more elegant.

Try aspinaloflondon.com. I ordered mine from there....it is calf leather and gorgeous! Very classy!

Good Luck!

I found this book today in Barnes and Nobles called "Baby's First Five Years" by Virginia Reynolds and I fell in love with it!! Here's last year's edition of this book on amazon. The one I have has a baby on the cover. Amazon carries it, but does not offer a picture.

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00008RF2F/qid=1058386939/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_1/102-4789300-3084115?v=glance&s=baby&n=507846

It's hard cover, with spiral bound. I love that there's no goofy animals, characters or corny sayings anywhere.

I really like how there's a place for everything. It has folders, tab dividers and a place to put a picture every month for the first year. I also like that there's a place for holiday pictures, family gatherings and vacations.

I've never seen a book so detailed before!

It was priced at $22.95.

I am a scrapbooker, and I can completely understand your desire for a simple, classy baby book. I really like the baby album found at the Creative Memories web site. The only obstacle is that you have to buy it from a consultant, but they are great people who are not pushy and they just want to help you tell your story in your album. You can locate a consultant in your area by using the "locate a consultant button on the home page. http://www.creativememories.com/locatecnslt.asp?GID=0

(You will notice that there aren't prices on the website, but if you want to know any further info, just email me. I have a current catalog and price list.)

The cover of the baby album is white with embossed baby shoes in the middle. ($31.00)

You also have to buy the pages to go in the album, but you can choose simple pages with the blue or pink gingham ribbon on the bottom corner, ($10.00 for 5 sheets/10 pages)

or you can buy the pages with the "fill in the blanks" format, that has just a bit more of the same detailing. (24.00 for 15 sheets/30 pp.)

**The cool thing about these albums is that you can choose what order they go in and add more pages whereever you want to, because it is a strap album. Also, it is acid free and won't ruin your photos and keepsakes.

You can also get their wedding album if you don't want the baby shoes on the cover, because it is just an elegant looking white album with basic scrolling on the cover. ($42.00, includes 15 sheets of plain white pages)

I know this was a lot to read, but I hope it helps!
