Does anyone know where I can find new cushions for my rocker/glider? I got it at a garage sale and hate the material the cushions are made of. It's just a basic rocker/glider, not one of the fancy ones... Thanks

Do you know what company made the chair? If you do, I would try contacting them direct or see if their retailers sell the cushions separately. I know when I bought my Dutailier, they said I could always order different cushions later on if I decided I wanted something different.

Even if you don't know the manufacturer, I think I've seen the cushions being sold separately in catalogs like JcPenny's. Or, if you're able, you could make new cushions. Pretty much all the major pattern companies sell rocker cushion patterns in their nursery collections. (Or, you could also tear apart the old cushions to use as a pattern to make new ones.)

Good luck,
Jennifer

I am only buying a simple, wooden rockers, and will have to buy the cushion separately.
I accidentally saw some at www.babybeddingonline.com, while looking at crib linens. Link: http://www.babybeddingonline.com/product2.asp?number=414

I also saw them elsewhere for cheaper, but I can't remember where. Best of luck to you!

Thank you for the suggestions. I didn't find any markings which indicated a manufacturer on the rocker/glider. We bought it at a garage sale for $17 about 3 years ago "on spec" that we would someday have a baby to rock with it. I'm assuming that it is a rather cheap one.

If I could sew I would definately make the cushions for it as well as recover the ottoman to match. Alas, I am not that proficient with a Singer as my highschool Home Ec teacher could attest.

Maybe I can find a seamstress in the yellow pages to make them for me... I'll also check with JC Penney. Any online sources?

Thanks again...

I bought some off of ebay. They wanted $150 for the rocker and ottoman at Dutalier retailers. On ebay, I bought the rocker cushions for $40 and the ottoman cushions for $10.99. Even if it isn't a perfect fit, you could probably move the snaps or add velcro to keep them on.

I didn't buy mine from this seller, but here are some:

Arms and main pieces are being sold separately, but this is the same set that I bought, but a different seller:
