Anyone know where to find a good old-fashioned rocking chair (not a glider)? Also, is it possible to buy cushions for these? Thanks.

This sounds really weird, but the Cracker Barrel restaurant always has the nicest, sturdiest rocking chairs sitting on their porches! They are the kind that could have simple tie-on cushions.

We refurbished an old antique chair that has been in my family for ages, just had it reupholstered and reinforced a bit. Maybe haunt some antique shops?

Here is one from JCPeney. They have the same chair in this color and in white (which was a different link to click. Just do a search or see if it will let you choose it as an option.

www.babystyle.com also has a Jenny Lind style rocking chair.

I would just do a search on www.google.com for rocking chair and see what you can find. We had trouble just looking in furniture stores, but now I see them in catalogs and wish I'd known where to look before the baby was born.

We ened up bying our rocking chair from USA Baby and we love it (it's not the Jenny Lind style though). Unfortunately, they don't link to products for purchase on their website, so I can't link you to it.

JC Penney also has the cushions! I will be using the rocking chair my mother used with me and I need to get some cushions from Penney's. I bought some from them years ago when I moved out on my own and took the chair with me and they have held up great! HTH Linda
