Comments on Ikea Cribs

Does anyone have any comments about Ikea cribs? We are looking at the higher end solid wood crib, and it looks pretty safe, but we can't find any official references in the Baby Bargain book or otherwise. Also, can they take standard crib mattresses, etc? Any comments, good or bad, would be appreciated.

Don't have the crib, but do have the matching solid wood toy box, changing table/dresser, and bookshelf, and love them all. I think the crib does take a standard mattress, as I have an Ikea crib sheet/bumper set which fits my standard mattress.

We have the Gulliver white crib from IKEA - the $99 one -- and it is perfectly fine. No bells and whistles but stable and safe.
