Help! My dutailier glider was just delivered for baby #2. Within 30 minutes of arrival, my 2 year old managed to pull the glider over on herself. Luckily, I was standing close and was able to catch it before she got hurt.
It seems the glider can be pulled over easily, if it is in the rock position. I tipped it forward just trying to stand up. When it is in the lock position, it seems completely stable.
Has anyone had a similar problem with their glider? Everywhere I look recommends Dutailier glidders for the nursery, but it seems unsafe. I called the store and they said, it is not meant to be used by a child. I'm really upset now. Does anyone have any words of advice? I'm thinking about sending the chair back. I worried what will happen if I forget to put it into the lock position.
