just wanted to post a little buyer beware, especially for those of you who live around the orlando area. We recently purchased a Legacy Bergen County crib, double dresser and armoire from Baby's Corner and Big Kids in Altamonte Springs. All were in boxes. We opened them to find multiple splits in the wood of all 3 pieces and a separation between the MDF and wood top of the dresser (looks as though the piece was hit or dropped). We called the store only to find that nothing will be done unless we make yet another 5 hour trip to return the pieces, which entails another lost day, moving van rental, etc. We picked up the furniture because we were told that the cost of delivery would be exorbitant, no one told us that it would be impossible.
We then called Legacy to see if a repair person could come to our house. No.
Basically, we're stuck with either 2 additional 5 hour trips, plus van rentals, gas, etc. or searching out a local repair person, again at our expense. AND alot of aggravation.
Wanted to make sure that you ask all policies before purchasing any furniture. We've since found out that the owner of Baby's Corner has a reputation for being particularly difficult and has created business for other stores in FL secondary to customer frustration.
Have since found stores that will deliver and pick-up merchandise from much farther away.
Also, given that 3 of 3 pieces were damaged, would very much consider getting a brand other than Legacy. Have been recommended EG, Bonavita and Pali for superior construction.

Thanks for the FYI, although I guess it is too late for us. We too purchased a Legacy crib and combo dresser from Baby's corner in Altamonte but have not yet picked up. We only put 1/3 down but I suppose it's too late to get our money back. We plan on picking up the furniture ourselves since we live in the Orlando area. Will definitely have to make a point to inspect EVERYTHING before leaving the premises. Thanks for the 'heads up.'
