Hi,

I had the Lana crib picked out to buy for my baby but after speaking with my Mother-in-law who is buying the crib for us she thinks it's way too cheap in price to be a good crib. I have not seen the crib in person since there are no stores near me that sell any cribs. So I just did some reasearch after reading Baby bargins and decided on the Lana crib. Does any one have hands on experience with this crib? Is it safe and sturdy? Would you recommend it?

Also I noticed the Valentina crib by sorelle as well. I thought it was nice because then I wouldn't need to buy a serparate dresser. I also thought I could just change the baby in the Graco Pack 'N Play I plan to get. So no need for a changing table.

I am so confused at this point! I've chosen a million different cribs at this point and nothing seems to be good enough! Any first hand experience thoughts would be highly appreciated!

Thanks!
Kristen

We just recently bought a Lana, and I love it. I spent some time at stores getting a feel for the different cribs and how sturdy they were. I am very impressed with the Lana, especially for the price.

We have a Sorelle crib and are very happy with it. I wouldn't worry about the lower price of the Lana, if I were you. Lots of people on these boards have been very happy with Sorelle cribs--you can do a search.

However, I wouldn't recommend getting the Valentina. According to the Baby Bargains book, cribs with attached dressers are a major safety hazard because children can climb onto the dresser and then out of the crib.
