I would like to put a 13" TV in the baby's room so I have something to watch during late night feedings. I am worried about the baby pulling the TV on him/herself at toddler age. Our priest announced that a 4-year-old died this way a few months ago. Would a wall mount be safer or is there some way to secure a TV to a dresser?

FWIW, my husband got me a CD player clock radio that also gets local TV stations. I have it sitting on the dresser next to the changing table. I used it early on to play CDs or to listen to the TV or radio while nursing. It also has sounds including white noise, which were useful during the fussy period. He got it at sharper image, and it folds flat so it's portable and doesn't take up much space. Might be an option for you if you don't find a good way to secure the TV.

Also, I found that I watched so much TV while on maternity leave that my son is now mesmerized by it and will stop nursing if I turn the TV on, so I can't use the TV during feedings anymore anyway.
