Iron crib safety?

Hi there, I'm seriously considering ordering the Childcraft/Legacy iron crib in silver (I'm not due until 12/1, so I'm not as worried about their delayed shipments), but some of my friends and relatives have registered concerns about the safety of iron cribs - that when the baby inevitably bangs his/her head against the crib, it will hurt more than bonking a head against a wood crib, etc. - but I'm not so sure. A bang is a bang, right?

Anyway - any feedback that anyone might have on the safety of iron (not cheap metal) cribs is appreciated...
