View Full Version : Original or Mini Co Sleeper? Will baby sleep longer in one?

Size-wise, I like the Mini, but I would ideally like to keep her next to us for 6 months. I will purchase the larger one if they are much more comfy. I had a PNP for my DD and she outgrew the weight limit on the bassinet before we wanted her to go to her room. Does anyone have any opinions on these?
Thanks!

I absolutely loved my original size co-sleeper. Neve slept in it for her first 6 months.

I believe the mini only goes to 15 pounds and the regular to 30

According to Arm's Reach's website, the Mini has a weight limit of 23 pounds when used as a bassinet (as opposed to 30 with the Original or Universal). The biggest issue in using the bassinet is whether the baby is sitting up and can pull themselves up, thus potentially toppling over the rail. Usually this occurs in the 6-9 month range.

The mini is nice because it is has wheels, and is more portable. The original converts to a playyard, and the mini does not.

So, those are some of the variables you need to consider.

Good luck!
