dear all,

this is the 1st time of me using this site. I'm not sure if anyone else has raised this question up before. I'm planning to use my dresser which is deep enough as a changing table. However, i'm concerned that there should be some kinds of padding on the top of the dresser so that the baby won't lie on a hard piece of wood when being changed. I know that the usual changing table has a padding with edges and/or straps to prevent the baby from rolling over. My question is where i can find this type of padding alone (without attaching to a changing table)? Thanks a million for your responses. =)

Hi Shirley,

We use a dresser as a changing table too and it works really well. We have a changing pad on top (I believe it is manufactured by Simmons) that we purchased from Babies R Us. It is covered by a terry cloth cover that is removable and machine washable--the cover also was purchased at BRU.

Here's a link to one of the changing pads that you could purchase:

Here are the terry covers for it:

Thanks, Sarah,

it's very thoughtful that you even mention the machine washable terry cloth cover...haha...i even forgot about the cover. I guess at this point, you must know that i'm a 1st time mom-to-be. Thanks!
