Do we have a bad Diaper Champ?

We just opened our Diaper Champ box yesterday and whenever we tried lifting the lid it sounds like it is about to break! I got it to not do it but now we tried it today and it started all over again. Do we have a bad one or do they all start out like this?

We have been using our Diaper Champ for 2 and a half years and it does not sound like it is about to break when we lift the lid. I would go exchange it for a new one.

I agree with Kelly Ann. I've used one for the past 4 months and we never had a problem like that. I would also trade it for a new one.

We've been using ours for 19 months and it doesn't sound like it is going to break--it does make a loud "thump" when you flip the handle to dump the diaper, but that's the only noise it makes. (The thump is from the inner plug/plunger flipping.)
