I am looking for a fully upholstered glider and ottoman. I have not been able to find many online. Babiesrus sells one by Jardine that also has a swivel function. I tried it out in the store and it felt really comfy but I am unsure about buying it because of previous negative reviews of Jardine gliders? Does anyone have any experience with this glider? Can you recommend another upholstered glider? How much did it cost?

Have you checked out La-z-boy? Some of their styles are available with the glider option. If I remember correctly the glider option can have a regular or swivel base. I have a La-z-boy rocker-recliner which cost about $500.

Other options for fully upholstered gliders are Best Chairs, Dutailier, and Little Castle. You can check the styles out on their websites.

These brands can be purchased online or at baby specialty stores (I don't think BRU carries the Dutailier fully upholstered ones, nor either of the other 2 brands I mentioned).

I found Best Chairs to be the best fit for me as well as the best price ($499 fully upholstered versus $550+ for Dutalier and Little Castle).

Here is another vote for Best chairs. Ours was the Mandy, a swivel glider and ottoman. Very reasonably priced, came in in 4 weeks, very comfortable and in a nice microfiber material that is easy to clean. It is large enough for me, the baby, a pillow and a small poodle or two to sit in at the same time! Our baby is 3 and 1/2 weeks old, and we have used it every day. I found mine at a rather high-end baby store, but the price was the same as at USA Baby (which we don't have in our city, unfortunately), so don't be afaid to try some of the nicer stores in your area (as oppossed to BRU, which I thought had VERY little to offer in fully upholstered chairs and no better prices). I think the website (www.bestchairs.com, click on the Storytime Series link) has a store finder. Good luck!

You could try craigslist.com, if you have that in your area, or eBay (for used or new ones). And I seem to recall that Target carries a lower-priced Dutailier model in certain areas. You might be able to order it online.

Here is an article that mentions an upholstered recliner made by Berkline called the Rock-a-by. This is all that I have been able to find on this recliner, though. I can't find this recliner on the Berkline website, which is strange. Anyway... this recliner does seem interesting and might be worth asking your local Berkline retailer about.

We got one at Costco Home that is by Little Castle. We love it dearly and the baby has not come yet. The thing that is best is that it is solid and doesn't suck you in. Mine cost under $500 with Washington state tax for both the chair and ottoman but that was a Costco price. I have heard about $600 for the chair online from what my mom has found.

Another vote for Best Chairs. We purchased ours at USA Baby. It is, quite simply, the most comfortable seat in the house!! When we are done using it in the nursery I will put it in the family room. Everyone who has ever sat in it raves about how comfy it is.
