I am buying a crib from a friend for my 24 month old son who is not ready for a big boy bed and now has a little brother. The friend only used it for 22 months and I just found out she's selling it because her son reached the height requirement. I never heard of this and assumed most people kept kids in their cribs until they started to try to get out. My son has never done this. I checked and he is only one inch below the requirement (34 inches) for this crib. Are their cribs that go to a higher height? I can't check his current crib because he's napping now but I am curious and unsure now if I should purchase the crib. Help!!

Thanks.

My DS1 was in his crib until he was about 40" tall. When he learned to climb out, we put on a crib tent so that he was still safe. I think that the height limit is just because of the climbing issue, but you can get around it with a tent.
