Hi! Your help would be much appreciated with my "dilemma"... When I had DS1, I purchased a LA Baby changing pad from my local baby store because I liked that it was 4-sided and I was purchasing the changing table at the same time. Now, 4 years later, I am expecting DS2 and the pad is long gone. From that experience, I know what I don't want in a changing pad - one that is 4-sided (his poor head was on the ridge after a while, because he was so long) and one from LA Baby (it ripped at the seams too quickly).

That said, I would like some advice on which one out there is best, or will any old one do? I do know that I want a 2-sided one and one that has a strap with a snap to hold it to the table. Any suggestions/ideas, Ladies?!

Thank you!

I got this Colgate hi-rise pad from www.kidsurplus.com (they also carry the covers). We use it on top of a regular dresser, and it is nice because I am tall, so the baby is at a great height for me (boosts the baby up a few inches higher than with a regular pad). There is not ridge at the top or bottom, just the sides.

Here are the covers:

ETA: It has held up perfectly for two years, as have the covers. It does not take standard covers like the ones you buy at BRU or PBK because it is thicker than regular pads by quite a bit.
