Can anyone suggest a place to find a 5 x 8 area rug suitable for a nursery? Since my friend does not know the sex of her baby she wants something gender nuetral. We have looked at Company Kids and Pottery Barn Kids. She is looking for something that has yellow & lime green, as well as some other colors to introduce into the room (soft blue, bright pink).

Try the JCPenny's catalog( either their regular BIG catalog or the BABY CATALOG). I've seen several types in that catalog...hopefully one that fits the color scheme perfectly!! Good Luck :)

Try http://www.homedecorators.com/.

They have a print catalog and an online store.

I ordered from them a long time ago and I think the service was good.

Good luck!

There are some beautiful area rugs in the sizes and colors you describe in the Linen Source winter 2002 catalog. They're called the "Cutting Garden Rugs," although there's nothing particularly garden-ish about them except the bright colors. The website address is www.linensource.com and the phone number is 888-431-2620. Hope this helps!

I purchased a Claire Murray rug for our nursery. She has her own website http://www.clairemurray.com/. She is quite well known even with interior designers.

While these aren't the colors you specified, for a great gender-neutral area rug see the JC Penney Baby Catalog... the rugs I'm thinking of are like stuffed toys, only flat. So they have a teddy bear rug, an elephant rug, a tiger rug, and so on. They're really a neat gift, and kids seem to really like them.

The Land of Nod (www.landofnod.com) has a rug with the colors you specified - it's their "All Creatures Great and Small" pattern.
