Does anyone have experience with the primer for walls that makes the wall able to hold magnets? I believe it is a True Value product. Are there any health hazards? Any input is appreciated. It was advertised in Parents magazine a while back.
Thanks

The March 2002 Consumer Reports (our bible of sorts) has a short article on the magnetic paint on page 8. They reviewed 3 different brands. Bottom line is that it works, but you have to apply several coats (2-3 or more) in order to get enough "power" to hold more than light, flexible magnets. The article says the paints are child-safe when dry. And that if you only want to use it on certain areas, multiple layers of this stuff "can take on texture and stand out. Multiple coats . . . started to resemble stucco".

In the interest of avoiding nasty e-mails or a lawsuit or something, I'm not retyping the entire article. You might want to check out the magazine at the library if you don't already receive the magazine.

Hope this helps.
