Good morning,
I've noticed several posts concerning crib sheets. Be sure to check out Good Housekeepings test results at: http://magazines.ivillage.com/goodhousekeeping/consumer/safety/articles/0,12873,284526_290084-2,00.html

My 8 month old son is a sheet grabber/gymnast so I decided to purchase two variety of high scoring sheets. I have a Stayput safety sheet (see: www.babysheets.com). It's basically a giant pillow case with a velcro flap. It's easy to use, but I do wish it came in a 100% cotton (currently it's 50% cotton/50% polyester).

My second is a 100% cotton version found at: www.baby-be-safe.com. It has extra large pockets with a velcro opening underneath. I'm happy with both products and for additional safety, my son sleeps in a Halo sleep-sack - no need to worry about blankets, see: http://www.halosleep.com

Hope this helps. I'd be happy to answer any other questions.

Hello! I am glad that you have both since I am in the process of deciding which one to purchase. I have the pottery barn bedding already (airplane) and had planned on buying the PB chambray sheets in blue (not after reading the ratings though in GH!). I am looking for a blue chambray that will match the bedding? Do you have these sheets in a blue type color? Is one easier than the other to change?
I can't imagine changing something complicated in the middle of the night!! Also, do you use a mattress pad and if so, which brand? One last question since you seem to be safety conscious, what mattress did you purchase? Sorry about all of the questions, I just am very safety aware and your post makes me think you must be as well.
Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi Elaine,
Sorry it has taken me awhile to respond to your post. In my opinion, the "Baby-be-safe" is easier to put on - really not much difference from a regular crib sheet but the "Stay-put" brand has more color choices (including a denim blue, might go with your chambray set), see: http://www.2stayput.com/product_info.html My blue sheet from "Baby-be-safe" is called "baby blue", but it's more of a faded royal blue (make sense?).
I do use a matress pads(s) (fits like a crib sheet) and I can't recall the brands - I own several, most likely from Babysrus. My matress is a hand-me down from my daughter's crib (I believe it originally came from Sears), just look for something firm.
I'm really happy w/both brands of sheets. I've always had to yank the whole matress out to change the sheet anyways and I've been very fortunate to only have had one middle of the night sheet changing extravaganza!

Hope this helps,
Pam
